Helix Sleep sells hybrid mattresses made with dual-layer covers, polyfoam comfort systems, and pocketed coil support cores fortified using polyfoam base layers. Helix Mattress Jobs
Helix Sleep allows complete mattress customization. Buyers are urged to fill out a survey that discusses their height, weight, sleep position, firmness preferences, and other elements. Then based on these answers, Helix Sleep will recommend one of the following six mattress options; each individual option provides a unique combination of support and firmness:
- Helix Sunset: ‘Soft’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Moonlight: ‘Soft’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
- Helix Midnight: ‘Medium’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dusk: ‘Medium’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
- Helix Twilight: ‘Firm’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dawn: ‘Firm’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
Helix Sleep mattresses with targeted cushioning conform closely, which makes them ideal for those who sleep on their side. While hybrids that have moderate cushioning don’t conform as much and are suitable for all sleep positions. Lighter men and women may feel most comfy on models with balanced support, while people who weigh 130 lbs or more tend to prefer the models with extra support.
Helix Sleep also markets 2 mattresses with dual-firmness, the Helix Dual Balanced (with balanced support and targeted cushioning) and the Helix Dual Extra (with extra support and moderate cushioning). Both of these variants have one ‘Soft’ side and one ‘Firm’ side, making them great for couples with different tastes. Last, the Helix Nightfall is a hybrid designed for larger, heavier individuals. This mattress has an extra layer of memory foam for maximum support.
My review of Helix Sleep mattresses found that the customizable selection accommodates sleepers with a large assortment of firmness preferences and body types. The mattresses also offer strong edge support, isolate movement nicely, and produce less noise than the average hybrid. Helix Mattress Jobs

Construction Helix Mattress Jobs
All nine of the various iterations of this mattress will differ slightly in construction, but for 6 of the 9 variants, the construction should be fairly similar. The six core models (listed above) are 10 inches tall, composed of 6 inches of individually wrapped coils and 4 inches of foam.
Helix mattresses differ in firmness and density depending on the foams utilized in order to achieve more/less support and more/less firmness. The 4 unique foams used within Helix mattresses are memory foam, high-grade polyurethane foam, Helix Dynamic Foam, and a DuraDense Foam (aka support foam). Not all of the variants have all the foams – some just have 3 of the 4 – but it really shouldn’t matter much for the buyer. The foams are just levers that Helix Sleep can pull to be able to offer 9 different versions (and supposedly have a model for everyone). Helix Mattress Jobs
Below, I briefly talk about the construction (materials and quality) of your typical Helix mattress, the Helix Midnight.
Cover – Originally, all Helix mattresses have the same cover, made of 100 percent polyester. I found it to be pliable and thin, allowing for some great breathability. But, if you would like something more amped up, you can choose to swap out the standard cover for the brand’s UltraCool one, which is composed of a phase-change material for temperature regulation.
Comfort Layer – On top, you will encounter a heavy layer of memory foam. This material has a slow response to pressure, meaning you’re likely to encounter some great body shaping. While it might seem strange for a supposedly medium firm bed to feature a memory foam layer, it’s crucial to remember that the existence of deep sinkage doesn’t always translate to softness; in fact, oftentimes it generates quite a firm feel.
Transition Layer – After sinking through the memory foam comfort layer, you will uncover a transition layer of poly foam. This layer of foam works to suppress the sinkage of the comfort layer and establish a supportive, medium firm feeling as you reach the pocketed coils underneath.
Support Layer – The majority of the mattress is made up of this segment of individually wrapped coils. This system brings a supportive lift to the construction, working to put the sleeper “on top” of the mattress, instead of “in it”. Because the coils are wrapped individually, they’re also likely to allow additional breathability as air flows in between the spaces in the coils.
Base Layer – Lastly, you will discover a thin section of high-density poly foam. This layer doesn’t affect the feel of the mattress too much, working mostly to give the pocketed coils something off of which to react.
Firmness and Support
After taking a peek at the construction of the Helix mattresses, let us chat about their different firmness levels and feels.
The firmness of the Helix will differ widely depending on which version you select. The Helix Dusk and Midnight, have medium firmness levels, which is going to be quite versatile and thus exceptionally popular. If you have more specific preferences, however, Helix Sleep is happy to oblige you with more choices.
Laying down on the Helix Midnight, the memory foam layer is soft and produces some top quality body contouring, while the rest of the materials within the mattress work to control this and create an overall firmer structure. The firmer support foams and pocketed coils also help with re-positioning.
For those who sleep on their back, there is enough good comfort material in the Helix Midnight to conform to your lumbar while supporting your back in a neutral position. For heavier buyers or those who prefer a firmer mattress, there are 2 more choices for you in the Helix Twilight and Helix Dawn variants.
Most side sleepers will feel perfectly comfy on the Midnight, however, if you’re needing a bit less pressure while still going with a versatile medium firmness, you may decide to check out the Helix Dusk, which uses a body-conforming latex-alternative foam that is breathable and gives the surface a little bit of bounce.
Those who sleep on their side typically have to be mindful of pressure since they sleep with all their weight on a smaller region. People who are lighter than average or those in the market for plenty of pressure relief may want to stay with the plusher variants.
Stomach sleepers should feel supported in the Midnight, especially if this is not their main position or they tend to change things up a lot. Firmer mattresses might be preferable for exclusive stomach sleepers so that they can make sure their hips don’t dip and over-arch their back.
Lastly, the manufacturer suggests Helix for sleepers around 350 lbs or couples who weigh up to 250 lbs each. In the event you or your spouse are significantly larger than average, Helix has also created a bed called the Nightfall that’s built to accommodate a total weight of 1000 lbs.
Partners with different body types or preferences may also pick a dual comfort variant that pairs Firm with Plush.
Keep in mind that if neither of those options sound right, you can always have a look at the four other beds in the new collection: the Sunset (plush, softer than the Moonlight), Dusk (moderate feel, slightly firmer than the Midnight), Twilight (firm, designed for side sleepers), or Dawn (the firmest variant in the collection).
Now, let us chat about motion transfer, or the amount of disturbance that is noticeable from 1 side of the mattress to the other. While this is going to be important for all people, those who sleep with a spouse may find it particularly interesting as it’ll show just how bothered you’ll be by your partner’s nighttime movements. Helix Mattress Jobs
Based on my observation, Helix surpasses expectations for hybrids in this space because of the quantity and quality of foam it contains, as well as the pocketed coils which help keep motion at its source. If you are a light sleeper afraid that movement from the opposite side of the mattress will bother you, then you shouldn’t have much concern with this hybrid. I would say that any of the Helix mattresses would be a good option for couples.
While buying a brand-new mattress, most people would like to know whether they’ll feel as though they’re sinking “into” the mattress or lying “on top” of it.
Even though you’re likely to experience some immediate sinkage in the soft foam on top, by the time you sink through those layers, you will reach the individually-wrapped coils and find great support. This combo will interest a wide assortment of individuals, but will suit back and stomach sleepers the most.
Though I do feel the foam collapse as I sit near the edge of the Helix Midnight, the coils prevent the mattress from compressing too much . I feel quite secure seated on the bed.
In my opinion, Helix mattresses are well above average for edge support in comparison to other bed-in-a-box brands, which is because of their newly updated edges containing reinforcement in the coil unit. There can be some compression in the comfort foams when you sit with your entire weight on the side, but laying on the side should feel comfortable and secure. Couples who want more space to stretch out normally love stronger edges.
Laying down, I feel like I could get close to the edge of the bed without feeling like I will fall over or be ejected from the mattress. Overall, I think that the Helix has great edge support.
100 Night Sleep Trial
One of the best features of buying a mattress-in-a-box online is the sleep trials that they usually include. Helix Mattress is not any different. You create the mattress that’s intended for you, place your order, and in a couple of weeks, it’s delivered to your home. From the minute you click to order the mattress, you’ve got 100 nights to test it out (minus the time for delivery, so it is more like 90 nights). If it is not what you wanted, you can return it for free of charge, and receive a complete refund.
Should you return the mattress, it isn’t restocked or resold. Actually, the company locates a local place to donate it. If there’s no way Helix Sleep can find a way to donate your refunded mattress, it is recycled instead. Helix Mattress Jobs
The Helix Mattress includes an awesome 10-year warranty that covers flaws, but it comes with some limitations, exceptions, and the burden of proof is on the purchaser (like most warranties). Needless to say, you should be the original owner of the mattress to make use of the warranty, and you will need to be sure you keep your receipt as proof of purchase.
Provided that you follow all of Helix’s expectations for use, your warranty is valid. That means you need to use a suitable base (no adjustable bed frames or slats over 4 inches apart) and that you don’t use the mattress improperly – no jumping on it!
If your mattress starts to show an indentation of 1″ or longer, something that typically happens when low-density foams break down, you could qualify for a replacement or repair of your mattress.

What’s The Best Way To Care For Your Helix?
Helix mattresses need no turning, but it’s suggested that you rotate the mattress perhaps once or twice a year to keep it from wearing down from excessive sagging.
For routine cleanup, it is advised to use cool water with gentle dish soap to clean any dirt or stains. Be certain to wash using soft circular movements, rather than rubbing.
