Helix Sleep markets hybrid mattresses manufactured with dual-layer covers, polyfoam comfort systems, and pocketed coil support cores reinforced with polyfoam base layers. Helix Mattress Revenue
Helix Sleep gives you complete mattress customization. Purchasers are asked to complete a survey that discusses their height, weight, firmness preferences, sleep position, and other factors. Based on these results, Helix Sleep will suggest one of the following six mattress options; each respective option offers a unique combination of firmness and support:
- Helix Sunset: ‘Soft’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Moonlight: ‘Soft’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
- Helix Midnight: ‘Medium’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dusk: ‘Medium’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
- Helix Twilight: ‘Firm’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dawn: ‘Firm’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
Helix Sleep mattresses that have targeted cushioning conform closely, which makes them ideal for side sleepers. While hybrids with moderate cushioning do not conform as much and are great for all sleep positions. Lighter people may feel most comfy on models with balanced support, while individuals who weigh 130 pounds or more tend to favor the models with additional support.
Helix Sleep also markets 2 models with dual-firmness, the Helix Dual Balanced (with targeted cushioning and balanced support) and the Helix Dual Extra (with moderate cushioning and additional support). Both these models have one ‘Firm’ side and one ‘Soft’ side, which makes them ideal for couples with different preferences. Lastly, the Helix Nightfall is a hybrid developed for bigger, heavier individuals. This mattress has an extra layer of memory foam for optimum support.
My review of Helix Sleep mattresses discovered that the customizable selection accommodates sleepers with a large assortment of firmness preferences and body types. The mattresses also offer strong edge support, isolate movement nicely, and produce less noise than the average hybrid. Helix Mattress Revenue

Construction Helix Mattress Revenue
All 9 of the various iterations of the mattress will differ slightly in construction, but for 6 of the 9 models, the construction will be rather similar. The six core variants (listed above) are 10 inches tall, made up of 6 inches of pocketed coils and 4 inches of foam.
Helix mattresses differ in density and firmness based on the foams used in order to attain more/less firmness and more/less support. The four unique foams used within Helix mattresses are memory foam, high-grade polyurethane foam, Helix Dynamic Foam, and a DuraDense Foam (aka support foam). Not all the mattresses have all the foams – some only have 3 of the 4 – but it really shouldn’t matter much for the buyer. The foams are just levers that Helix Sleep can pull in order to offer nine unique models (and supposedly have a model for everybody). Helix Mattress Revenue
Underneath, I quickly discuss the construction (materials and quality) of the average Helix mattress, the Helix Midnight.
Cover – Initially, all Helix mattresses come with the same cover, made of 100 percent polyester. I thought it to be thin and pliable, allowing for some great breathability. But, if you would like something more luxurious, you can opt to swap out the normal cover for the brand’s UltraCool one, which is made up of a phase change fabric to regulate temperature.
Comfort Layer – Up top, you’ll find a thick layer of memory foam. This material has a slow reaction to pressure, which means you are likely to experience some satisfying body shaping. While it might seem strange for a purportedly medium firm bed to make use of a memory foam comfort layer, it is crucial to remember that the presence of deep sinkage does not always translate to softness; in actuality, oftentimes it generates quite a firm feel.
Transition Layer – After sinking through the comfort layer, you’ll find a transition layer of poly foam. This layer works to curb the sinkage of the memory foam and create a supportive, medium firm feeling as you reach the individually wrapped coils below.
Support Layer – Most of the mattress consists of this segment of individually wrapped coils. This system gives a supportive lift into the structure, working to position the sleeper “on top” of the mattress, as opposed to “in it”. Because these coils are wrapped individually, they’re also going to encourage additional breathability as air flows in between the spaces in the coils.
Base Layer – Lastly, you’ll find a thin section of high-density poly foam. This segment does not affect the feel of the mattress too much, functioning mostly to provide the individually wrapped coils something off of which to respond.
Firmness and Support
After taking a look at the construction of the Helix mattresses, let’s chat about their different feels and firmness levels.
The firmness of the Helix will vary widely depending on the model you choose. The Helix Dusk and Midnight, have medium firmness levels, which tends to be very versatile and thus exceptionally popular. If you have more specific preferences, however, Helix Sleep is happy to oblige you with additional options.
Lying down on the Helix Midnight, the memory foam layer is soft and generates some quality body contouring, while the other materials in the mattress work to counteract this and create an overall firmer composition. The individually-wrapped coils and the firmer support foams also assist with re-positioning.
For those who sleep on their back, there’s just enough good comfort material in the mattress to conform to your lumbar while supporting your whole upper spine in a neutral position. For heavier buyers or people who want a firmer bed, there are 2 more options for you in the Helix Twilight and Helix Dawn variants.
Most side sleepers will feel totally comfy on the Midnight, however, if you are needing a bit less pressure while still going with a flexible medium firmness, you might decide to check out the Helix Dusk, which uses a body-conforming latex-alternative foam that is breathable and gives the surface a small bit of bounce.
Side sleepers typically need to be more mindful of pressure since they sleep with all of their weight on a smaller region. Those who are lighter than average or people looking for plenty of pressure relief may want to stick to the plusher variants.
Those who sleep on their stomach should feel supported in the Midnight, especially if this isn’t their primary position or they tend to change things up a lot. Firmer choices may be preferable for exclusive stomach sleepers so they can ensure their hips do not dip and over-arch their spine.
Last, the manufacturer recommends Helix mattresses for sleepers around 350 lbs or partners who weigh a maximum of 250 pounds each. In the event you or your spouse are significantly larger than average, the company has also produced a bed called the Nightfall that is built to accommodate a combined weight of 1000 lbs.
Partners with differing types of bodies or preferences may also pick a dual comfort option that combines Firm with Plush.
Bear in mind that if none of these models feel right, you could always check out the four other mattresses in the new collection: the Sunset (plush, softer compared to the Moonlight), Dusk (moderate feel, a little firmer than the Midnight), Twilight (firm, designed for side sleepers), or Dawn (the firmest option of the bunch).
Next up, let us chat about motion transfer, or the amount of disturbance that’s detectable from one side of the mattress to the other. While this is going to be crucial for all people, those who sleep with a partner may find it especially intriguing as it will illuminate just how bothered you may be by your partner’s nighttime movements. Helix Mattress Revenue
According to my research, Helix Sleep exceeds expectations for hybrids in this space because of the amount and quality of foam it contains, as well as the individually wrapped coils which help keep motion at its source. If you’re a light sleeper concerned that movement from the other side of the bed will bother you, then you shouldn’t have a lot of concern with this mattress. I would say that any of the Helix mattresses are a good option for couples.
While getting a brand-new mattress, most people would like to know whether they will feel as though they’re sinking “into” the mattress or lying “on top” of it.
While you’re going to experience a little immediate sinkage in the soft foam at the top, when you sink through these layers, you will reach the pocketed coils and feel fantastic support. This combination will interest a vast range of sleepers, but will satisfy stomach and back sleepers the most.
While I do feel the foam compress as I sit close to the edge of the Helix Midnight, the individually-wrapped coils stop the mattress from compressing too much beyond that. I feel very secure seated on the mattress.
In my opinion, Helix mattresses perform above average for edge support compared to other bed-in-a-box brands, and this is due to their recently updated edges containing reinforcement in the coil system. There may be some compression at the comfort foams when you sit with your entire weight on the side, but laying on the side should feel comfy and secure. Partners who want more space to stretch out normally love stronger edges.
Lying down, I feel like I could get close to the edge of the mattress without feeling like I’ll roll off or be pushed off the bed. Overall, I think that the Helix mattress has nice edge support.
100 Night Sleep Trial
Among the best features of buying a bed-in-a-box online is the sleep trials they usually include. Helix is not any different. You create the mattress that is made for you, place your order, and within a couple of weeks, it’s delivered to your door. From the moment you click to buy the mattress, you have 100 nights to test it out (minus the time for delivery, so it’s more like 90 nights). If it isn’t ideal, you can return it free, and receive a complete refund.
If you do return the mattress, it is not restocked or resold. In fact, Helix locates a local place to donate it. When there’s no way Helix can find a way to donate your returned mattress, it’s recycled instead. Helix Mattress Revenue
The Helix Mattress includes a generous 10-year warranty that covers defects, but it has a few limitations, exceptions, plus the burden of proof is on the customer (like most warranties). Needless to say, you should be the original owner of the mattress to make use of the warranty, and you need to be sure that you save your receipt as proof of purchase.
Provided that you follow all Helix’s expectations for use, your warranty is valid. That means you will need to use a proper base (no adjustable bed frames or slats over 4 inches apart) and that you don’t use the mattress improperly – no jumping on the bed!
If your Helix begins to show an indentation of 1″ or longer, something that typically happens when low-density foams break down, you could qualify for a repair or replacement of your Helix.

What’s The Best Way To Care For Your Helix?
Helix mattresses require no turning, but it is suggested that you rotate the mattress perhaps a couple of times a year to keep it from wearing down from excess sagging.
For regular cleaning, it is advised to use cold water with gentle dish soap to clean any dirt or stains. Make sure that you clean using soft circular movements, instead of rubbing.
