Helix Sleep offers hybrid mattresses made using dual-layer covers, polyfoam comfort systems, and pocketed coil support cores reinforced using polyfoam base layers. Helix Mattress Sale
Helix Sleep allows full mattress customization. Buyers are urged to fill out a survey that discusses their weight, height, firmness preferences, sleep position, and other options. Then based on these answers, Helix Sleep will suggest one of the following 6 mattress variants; each individual variant offers a unique combination of firmness and support:
- Helix Sunset: ‘Soft’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Moonlight: ‘Soft’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
- Helix Midnight: ‘Medium’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dusk: ‘Medium’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
- Helix Twilight: ‘Firm’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dawn: ‘Firm’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
Helix Sleep hybrids that have targeted cushioning conform closely, making them optimal for side sleepers. While those that have moderate cushioning don’t conform as much and are suitable for pretty much all sleep positions. Lighter men and women may feel most comfy on models with balanced support, while those who weigh 130 lbs or more tend to prefer the models with additional support.
Helix Sleep also markets 2 mattresses with dual-firmness, the Helix Dual Balanced (with targeted cushioning and balanced support) and the Helix Dual Extra (with extra support and moderate cushioning). Both of these variants have one ‘Firm’ side and one ‘Soft’ side, which makes them suitable for couples with different tastes. Lastly, the Helix Nightfall is a hybrid designed for bigger, heavier people. This variant has an additional layer of memory foam for optimum support.
My review of Helix Sleep mattresses discovered that the customizable aspect accommodates sleepers with a large assortment of body types and firmness preferences. The mattresses also provide strong edge support, isolate motion transfer well, and create less noise than the normal hybrid. Helix Mattress Sale

Construction Helix Mattress Sale
All 9 of the different iterations of this mattress will differ slightly in construction, but for 6 of the 9 variants, the construction should be rather similar. The 6 core models (listed above) are 10 inches tall, composed of 6 inches of individually wrapped coils and 4 inches of foam.
Helix mattresses differ in firmness and density depending on the foams used in order to achieve more/less support and more/less firmness. The 4 different foams utilized within Helix mattresses are high-grade polyurethane foam, memory foam, Helix Dynamic Foam, and a DuraDense Foam (aka support foam). Not all of the mattresses have all of the foams – some only have 3 of the 4 – but it really shouldn’t matter much for the consumer. The foams are just levers that Helix Sleep can pull in order to offer 9 distinct models (and hopefully have a model for everyone). Helix Mattress Sale
Below, I briefly discuss the construction (materials and quality) of your typical Helix mattress, the Helix Midnight.
Cover – Initially, all Helix mattresses come with exactly the same cover, made of 100% polyester. I thought it to be stretchy and thin, allowing for some wonderful breathability. However, if you prefer something more luxurious, you can choose to swap out the regular cover for the UltraCool one, which is made up of a phase-change fabric to regulate temperature.
Comfort Layer – Up top, you’ll encounter a thick layer of memory foam. This type of foam has a slow response to pressure, meaning you are likely to experience some great body shaping. Even though it may seem odd for a supposedly medium firm bed to make use of a memory foam comfort layer, it’s crucial to remember that the feeling of deep sinkage does not necessarily translate to softness; in actuality, oftentimes it produces quite a firm feeling.
Transition Layer – After getting past the comfort layer, you will uncover a transition layer of poly foam. This layer of foam works to suppress the sinkage of the memory foam and set a supportive, medium firm feel as you reach the individually wrapped coils below.
Support Layer – The majority of the mattress is made up of this segment of pocketed coils. This system gives a supportive lift into the structure, working to position the sleeper “on top” of the bed, instead of “in it”. Since the coils are individually wrapped, they’re also likely to encourage additional breathability as air flows in between the spaces in the coils.
Base Layer – Lastly, you will find a thin section of high-density poly foam. This segment does not affect the feel of the bed too much, working mostly to provide the individually wrapped coils something off of which to react.
Firmness and Support
After having a look at the construction of the Helix mattresses, let us talk about their different firmness levels and feels.
The firmness of the Helix will differ widely depending on which variant you pick out. The Helix Midnight and Dusk, have medium firmness levels, which tends to be very versatile and thus exceptionally popular. If you are more particular, however, Helix Sleep would be happy to oblige you with more choices.
Laying down on the Midnight, the uppermost foam comfort layer is soft and generates some quality body contouring, while the rest of the materials in the Midnight work to control this and create an overall firmer structure. The firmer support foams and individually-wrapped coils also assist with re-positioning.
For back sleepers, there’s enough good comfort material here to conform to your lower spine while supporting your whole back in a neutral position. For larger sleepers or those who want a firmer mattress, there are two more models for you in the Helix Dawn and Helix Twilight models.
Most side sleepers will feel totally comfortable on the Midnight, but, if you’re needing a bit less pressure while still going with a flexible medium firmness, you might want to take a look at the Helix Dusk, which uses a body-conforming latex-alternative foam that is breathable and provides the surface a small bit of bounce.
Those who sleep on their side typically need to be more mindful of pressure because they sleep with all their weight on a tinier region. Those who are lighter than average or people looking for a lot of pressure relief may want to stay with the plusher models.
Stomach sleepers will feel comfortable in the Midnight, particularly if this is not their main position or they tend to change things up a lot. Firmer mattresses may be preferable for exclusive stomach sleepers so that they can make sure their hips do not dip and over-arch their backbone.
Last, Helix Sleep recommends Helix mattresses for sleepers around 350 lbs or partners that weigh a maximum of 250 pounds each. In the event you or your partner are substantially larger than average, the company has also produced a mattress called the Nightfall that’s constructed to accommodate a combined weight of 1000 pounds.
Couples with different types of bodies or tastes may also select a dual comfort model that pairs Firm with Plush.
Keep in mind that if neither of those options sound quite right, you can always have a look at the 4 other mattresses in the newest collection: the Sunset (plush, softer than the Moonlight), Dusk (moderate feel, slightly firmer than the Midnight), Twilight (firm, made for side sleepers), or Dawn (the firmest option in the collection).
Next up, let’s talk about motion transfer, or the amount of activity that is noticeable from one side of the bed to the other. While this is going to be significant for all buyers, those who doze with a partner may find it particularly intriguing as it will illuminate just how bothered you’ll be by your bed mate’s nighttime movements. Based on my observation, Helix Sleep surpasses expectations for hybrid mattresses in this space because of the quantity and quality of foam it incorporates, in addition to the individually wrapped coils that help trap motion at its source. If you’re a light sleeper afraid that motion from the other side of the bed will wake you, then you should not have much concern with this mattress. I would say that any of the Helix mattresses are a good choice for couples.
When getting a new mattress, the majority of men and women wish to know whether they’ll feel as though they are sinking “into” the it or laying “on top” of it.
Even though you’re going to experience a little immediate sinkage from the uppermost foam layers, when you sink through these layers, you are going to find the pocketed coils and feel fantastic support. This combination will interest a wide assortment of individuals, but will suit back and stomach sleepers the most.
Though I do feel the foam compress as I sit close to the edge of the bed, the pocketed coils stop the mattress from collapsing a lot beyond that. I feel very secure sitting on the bed.
In my opinion, Helix mattresses are well above average when it comes to edge support compared to other bed-in-a-box brands, which is due to their newly updated edges containing reinforcement in the coil system. There can be a little compression in the comfort foams when you sit with all your weight on the side, but lying on the side should feel comfortable and secure. Couples who want more space to stretch out typically appreciate strong edges.
Laying down, I feel like I can get close to the edge of the mattress without feeling like I will fall over or be ejected from the bed. Overall, I think that the Helix has great edge support.
100 Night Sleep Trial
One of the best features of purchasing a bed-in-a-box online is the sleep trials that they typically come with. Helix Mattress is not any different. You customize the mattress that is meant for you, place your order, and in two weeks, it is sent to your door. From the moment you click to purchase the mattress, you have 100 nights to try it out (minus the time for delivery, so it’s more like 90 nights). If it isn’t perfect, you can return it free of charge, and get a complete refund.
If you do return the mattress, it is not resold or restocked. Actually, Helix Sleep does its best to find a local place to donate it. If there’s no way Helix can find a way to donate your returned mattress, it’s recycled instead. Helix Mattress Sale
Helix offers a generous 10-year guarantee that covers flaws, but it comes with limitations, exceptions, plus the burden of proof is on the customer (like most guarantees ). Needless to say, you should be the original owner of the mattress to make use of the warranty, and you need to be sure that you save your receipt as proof of purchase.
As long as you follow all Helix’s expectations for use, your warranty is valid. That means you will need to use a proper foundation (no adjustable bed frames or slats more than 4″ apart) and that you don’t use the mattress improperly – no jumping on it!
If your Helix begins to have an indentation of 1 inch or longer, something that generally happens when low-density foams break down, you could qualify for a repair or replacement of your Helix.

What’s The Best Way To Care For Your Helix?
Helix mattresses require no turning, but it is recommended that you rotate the mattress possibly once or twice a year to prevent it from wearing down from excessive sagging.
For regular cleanup, it is advised to use cool water with gentle dish soap to clean any dirt or stains. Make sure to wash using soft circular movements, instead of rubbing.
