Helix Sleep markets hybrid mattresses made using dual-layer covers, polyfoam comfort systems, and pocketed coil support cores reinforced using polyfoam base layers. Helix Sleep Return Policy
Helix Sleep gives you complete mattress customization. Purchasers are urged to complete a survey that asks for their height, weight, sleep position, firmness preferences, and other elements. Then based on these answers, Helix Sleep will suggest one of the following six mattress models; each individual model gives a one-of-a-kind combination of firmness and support:
- Helix Sunset: ‘Soft’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Moonlight: ‘Soft’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
- Helix Midnight: ‘Medium’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dusk: ‘Medium’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
- Helix Twilight: ‘Firm’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dawn: ‘Firm’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
Helix Sleep mattresses that have targeted cushioning conform closely, making them optimal for side sleepers. While those that have moderate cushioning do not conform as much and are suitable for pretty much all sleep positions. Lighter men and women may feel most comfortable on variants with balanced support, while individuals that weigh 130 lbs or more tend to favor the variants with extra support.
Helix Sleep also offers 2 mattresses with dual-firmness, the Helix Dual Balanced (with targeted cushioning and balanced support) and the Helix Dual Extra (with additional support and moderate cushioning). Both of these models have one ‘Soft’ side and one ‘Firm’ side, which makes them great for couples with different preferences. Last, the Helix Nightfall is a hybrid developed for bigger, heavier people. This model has an additional layer of memory foam for optimum support.
My review of Helix Sleep mattresses discovered that the customizable aspect conforms to sleepers with a wide variety of firmness preferences and body types. The mattresses also have strong edge support, isolate movement well, and produce less noise than the normal hybrid. Helix Sleep Return Policy

Construction Helix Sleep Return Policy
All nine of the different iterations of the mattress will differ slightly in construction, but for 6 of the 9 variants, the construction will be rather similar. The six core models (listed above) are 10 inches tall, composed of 6 inches of individually wrapped coils and 4 inches of foam.
Helix mattresses vary in firmness and density based upon the foams utilized in order to attain more/less firmness and more/less support. The four unique foams utilized within Helix mattresses are high-grade polyurethane foam, memory foam, Helix Dynamic Foam, and a DuraDense Foam (aka support foam). Not all of the mattresses have all of the foams – some only have 3 of the 4 – but it really shouldn’t matter much for the purchaser. The foams are merely levers that Helix Sleep can pull to be able to offer nine unique versions (and hopefully have a mattress for everybody). Helix Sleep Return Policy
Underneath, I concisely talk about the construction (materials and quality) of your average Helix mattress, the Helix Midnight.
Cover – Originally, all Helix mattresses have exactly the same cover, made of 100% polyester. I thought it to be stretchy and thin, allowing for some great breathability. However, if you want something more luxurious, you can elect to swap out the regular cover for the brand’s UltraCool one, which is composed of a phase change fabric to regulate heat.
Comfort Layer – Up top, you will find a thick layer of memory foam. This material has a slow reaction to pressure, meaning you’re probably going to encounter some great body contouring. Even though it may seem odd for a purportedly medium firmness mattress to make use of a memory foam comfort layer, it is crucial to remember that the feeling of deep sinkage doesn’t necessarily translate to softness; in actuality, oftentimes it gives quite a firm feeling.
Transition Layer – After getting past the comfort layer, you will find a transition layer of poly foam. This layer of foam works to suppress the sinkage of the comfort layer and set a supportive, medium firm feel as you reach the individually wrapped coils below.
Support Layer – Most of the mattress is made up of this section of individually wrapped coils. This system gives a supportive lift into the construction, working to place the sleeper “on top” of the bed, instead of “in it”. Since the coils are individually wrapped, they’re also going to encourage additional breathability as air flows through the spaces in the coils.
Base Layer – Last but not least, you will uncover a thin segment of high-density poly foam. This segment doesn’t really affect the feel of the bed too much, functioning mostly to provide the individually wrapped coils something off of which to respond.
Firmness and Support
After taking a peek at the construction of the Helix mattresses, let’s talk about their different feels and firmness levels.
The firmness level of the Helix will vary widely depending on which version you pick out. The Helix Midnight and Dusk, have moderate firmness levels, which is going to be very versatile and therefore very popular. If you are more particular, however, Helix Sleep will be happy to provide you with additional choices.
Laying down on the Helix Midnight, the uppermost foam layer feels soft and produces some top quality body shaping, while the other materials within the Midnight work to counteract this and make an overall firmer structure. The firmer support foams and individually-wrapped coils also help with re-positioning.
For back sleepers, there is just enough good comfort material in the mattress to conform to your lumbar while supporting your upper spine in a neutral position. For larger buyers or those who want a firmer bed, there are 2 more models for you in the Helix Dawn and Helix Twilight variants.
Many side sleepers will feel perfectly comfy on the Midnight, however, if you’re wanting a bit less pressure while still going with a flexible medium firmness, you may want to take a look at the Helix Dusk, which uses a body-conforming latex-alternative foam that is breathable and provides the surface a little bit of bounce.
Side sleepers typically need to be mindful of pressure because they sleep with all of their weight on a tinier area. Those who are lighter than average or people looking for a lot of pressure relief may want to stay with the plusher variants.
Those who sleep on their stomach should feel comfortable in the Midnight, especially if this is not their primary position or they have a tendency to switch things up a lot. Firmer choices may be preferable for exclusive tummy sleepers so they can ensure their hips don’t dip and over-arch their back.
Lastly, Helix Sleep recommends Helix mattresses for sleepers around 350 pounds or partners that weigh up to 250 pounds each. In the event you or your spouse are significantly bigger than average, Helix has also produced a mattress called the Nightfall that’s constructed to accommodate a combined weight of 1000 pounds.
Partners with different body types or tastes may also select a dual comfort option that combines Firm with Plush.
Keep in mind that if neither of those options feel right, you may always have a look at the 4 other variants in the newest collection: the Sunset (plush, softer than the Moonlight), Dusk (medium feel, a little firmer than the Midnight), Twilight (firm, designed for side sleepers), or Dawn (the firmest option of the bunch).
Now, let’s chat about motion transfer, or the amount of activity that’s detectable from one side of the mattress to the other. While this is going to be significant for many sleepers, those who sleep with a spouse may find it particularly interesting as it will show just how bothered you’ll be by your bed mate’s nighttime movements. Helix Sleep Return Policy
Based on my observation, Helix Sleep surpasses expectations for hybrid mattresses in this space because of the amount and quality of foam it contains, in addition to the individually wrapped coils that help trap motion at its source. If you’re a light sleeper afraid that movement from the opposite side of the bed will bother you, then you shouldn’t have a lot of concern with this hybrid. I would say that all of the Helix mattresses are a good option for couples.
When buying a brand-new mattress, most people wish to know whether they will feel as though they are sinking “into” the mattress or lying “on top” of it.
While you may encounter some immediate sinkage in the soft foam on top, by the time you sink through these layers, you will find the individually-wrapped coils and find amazing support. This combination will interest a vast range of sleepers, but will satisfy back and stomach sleepers in particular.
While I do feel the foam collapse as I sit close to the edge of the mattress, the coils stop the mattress from collapsing too much . I feel very secure sitting on the bed.
In my opinion, Helix mattresses are well above average for edge support in comparison to other bed-in-a-box brands, which is because of their freshly updated edges that contain reinforcement in the coil unit. There may be a little compression in the comfort foams when you sit with all your weight on the side, but lying on the side will feel comfy and safe. Couples who need more space to stretch out normally love stronger edges.
Lying down, I also feel like I could get close to the edge of the bed without feeling like I’ll roll over or be pushed off the bed. Overall, I think the Helix has great edge support.
100 Night Sleep Trial
Among the best features of buying a bed-in-a-box online is the sleep trials that they usually come with. Helix Sleep is not any different. You create the mattress that is made for you, place your order, and in two weeks, it is delivered to your home. From the moment you click to order the mattress, you have 100 nights to try it out (minus the time for delivery, so it is more like 90 nights). If it is not perfect, you can return it for free, and receive a full refund.
Should you return the mattress, it isn’t restocked or resold. In fact, Helix finds a local place to donate it. When there is no way Helix Sleep can find a way to donate your returned mattress, it is recycled instead. Helix Sleep Return Policy
The Helix Mattress includes a generous 10-year guarantee that covers defects, but it comes with limitations, exceptions, and the burden of proof is on the purchaser (like most warranties). Of course, you should be the first owner of the mattress to use the warranty, and you need to be sure that you keep your receipt as proof of purchase.
Provided that you follow all of Helix’s expectations for use, your warranty is valid. That means you need to have a suitable base (no adjustable bed frames or slats more than 4 inches apart) and you don’t use the mattress improperly – no jumping on the bed!
If your Helix begins to show an indentation of 1 inch or longer, which is what generally happens when low-density foams break down, then you could be eligible for a replacement or repair of your Helix.

What’s The Best Way To Care For Your Helix?
Helix mattresses require no flipping, but it is suggested that you rotate the mattress perhaps once or twice a year to keep it from wearing down from excessive sagging.
For regular cleanup, it’s advised to use cold water with gentle dish soap to clean any stains or dirt. Make sure to wash using soft circular movements, rather than rubbing.
Final Thoughts Helix Sleep Return Policy
If you’re shopping for a mattress and aren’t quite certain what feel that you need, Helix’s Color Match system and quiz might be the secret to finding your best sleep with little hassle. Their awesome system, which relies on expert sentiment and artificial intelligence, was designed to better their customer’s sleep by giving a better match. Helix Sleep Return Policy
The features of the Helix were thoughtfully constructed to provide options whether you were looking for a mattress that keeps cool all night, if you wanted one to cradle your shape with a thick comfort system, or both! The pocketed coil unit should offer good edge support and motion transfer is minimal with their individually-wrapped construction.
I hope that I have given you some idea of what the typical sleeper can expect from the Helix, but it does offer an impressive range of customization with an option for literally every specific need or desire. Your next best sleep may just be a short online quiz away.
