This option is more expensive because of the addition of the topper. The ‘Medium’ and ‘Firm’ options forgo the topper; the ‘Medium’ uses a soft Dunlop latex comfort layer and a firm Dunlop latex support center, while the ‘Firm’ has a firm Dunlop latex comfort layer and a soft Dunlop latex support core.
In my opinion, the Alex Signature Series (memory foam) and the Alex Signature Hybrid are exceptional mattresses, especially at their price points.

The three different firmness settings of the Alexander Signature Hybrid all use the same general construction, but with slightly different densities and foams. Each mattress begins with 8 inches of individually-wrapped support coils. The next layer is 1 inch of “SmartFlow” support polyfoam, that is designed to increase airflow and helps with heat retention. Each firmness level makes use of 3 PCF (pounds per cubic foot foam in this layer. The following layer is 1.5″ of either 2.5 PCF copper-infused “Energex” polyfoam (Plush), 3.5 PCF copper-treated Energex polyfoam (Medium) or 4.5 PCF slow-recovery memory foam (Luxury Firm). The last layer is 1.5″ of “TitanChil” cooling polyfoam. The bed cover is 1.5 inches of 4 PCF gel-infused memory foam within a quilted, cooling fabric. This provides a pillowtop-like feel.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid is produced in 3 firmness levels: Plush (3), Medium (5) and a Luxury Firm (8). Firmness is measured on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being the least firm and 10 being the firmest. You can pick between Plush, Medium, and Luxury firm. Weight is going to make an impact on what you would prefer. Generally, heavier people fare better with firmer mattresses while lighter people normally find they can achieve more hug and contour on plusher mattresses.
Hybrids don’t isolate motion as well as all-foam mattresses typically do, because inner-springs allow motion to more easily move through the surface of the mattress. The Alexander Signature Hybrid, however, has various foam layers above its springs. These foam layers help the mattress absorb movement to a significant extent. As soon as I moved next to my spouse, you couldn’t see much movement in her body. She said that she could feel it, although detection was minimal. Despite this, the bed still possesses exceptional bounce.
In case you have mobility problems, moving around while lying down may be difficult. Classic memory foam often caused a lot of sinkage that it made it hard to move around. However, if you have too much rebound, it’s easy to disturb sleep.
You will experience some sinkage using the Alexander Signature Hybrid due to its soft foam top layers. But this sinking feeling is different from what you’d get with a more traditional memory foam bed as it is mitigated by the bed’s supportive individually-wrapped coil system. Meaning you’ll sink, but will still have the ability to move around easily and get out of bed without too much work. While there’s some sinkage here, it’s not as striking as it would be on a typical memory foam mattress. This creates great pressure relief with no stuck-in-the-bed feeling.
The inner-spring coil support core of the Alexander Signature Hybrid functions to fortify its edges. This produces an even sleeping surface across the whole mattress and helps prevent sagging and sinkage around the edge of the bed. The inner-spring coils are great at setting that firm core you require. When I moved in a variety of positions, I felt very well-supported. I can feel and you can actually witness where I do sink in a little bit, but the sinkage from the mattress suddenly ends where the spring coils start. In spite of the plush foam top layers, this bed is very supportive, due to the eight inches of individually-wrapped coils at its foundation. It is quite effortless to get in and out of the bed, and I’m well–supported when I lie on the border, a great asset for sleep partners.
The Alexander Signature Hybrid sleeps quite cool. The inner-spring coils allow enough airflow, helping to diminish body warmth. The foam layers, which usually trap heat, are treated with cooling gel and copper to counteract this frequent problem. This mattress is a fantastic fit for those who want to rest cool. This hybrid does a fantastic job of dispersing and isolating heat, leading to a sleeping feeling that’s wonderfully cool.
Nest Bedding Beds
Once an Alexander Signature Hybrid mattress is created, it’s compressed, vacuum-sealed in plastic and sent to your doorstep in a marked box. Every time a mattress is compressed and vacuum-sealed, it tends to emit a temporary odor when it is unboxed. This smell is called “off-gassing.” You should anticipate to see this with the Alexander Signature Hybrid, however, the odor should fade immediately.
100 Night Sleep Trial
Nest offers a 100 night sleep trial on the Alexander Signature Hybrid. The company requires that you maintain the mattress for at least thirty days prior to initiating a return. If you’re not pleased with the bed for any reason at any point between 30 to 100 days, you can arrange to return or donate it for a complete refund of the price. Any delivery costs will not be refunded. If you opt to go the refund path, the organization will arrange for the mattress to be picked up and donated to a nearby charity. You willl just have to provide proof that the item has indeed been picked up and the company will give you a complete refund. Nest Bedding Beds
