Helix Sleep sells hybrid mattresses made using dual-layer covers, polyfoam comfort systems, and pocketed coil support cores enhanced with polyfoam base layers. Sleep On Helix Piercing
Helix Sleep offers complete mattress customization. Buyers are urged to complete a survey that asks for their height, weight, sleep position, firmness preferences, and other elements. Then based on these results, Helix Sleep will recommend one of the following 6 mattress options; each respective variant gives a one-of-a-kind combination of support and firmness:
- Helix Sunset: ‘Soft’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Moonlight: ‘Soft’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
- Helix Midnight: ‘Medium’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dusk: ‘Medium’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
- Helix Twilight: ‘Firm’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dawn: ‘Firm’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
Helix Sleep hybrids with targeted cushioning conform closely, which makes them optimal for those who sleep on their side. While hybrids with moderate cushioning do not conform as much and are great for pretty much all sleep positions. Lighter people may feel most comfortable on models with balanced support, while individuals that weigh 130 lbs or more often favor the variants with extra support.
Helix Sleep also offers two models with dual-firmness, the Helix Dual Balanced (with balanced support and targeted cushioning) and the Helix Dual Extra (with moderate cushioning and additional support). Both of these models have one ‘Firm’ side and one ‘Soft’ side, which makes them great for couples with differing tastes. Last, the Helix Nightfall is a hybrid designed for larger, heavier individuals. This variant has an extra layer of memory foam for maximum support.
My review of Helix Sleep mattresses found that the customizable aspect conforms to sleepers with a large range of body types and firmness preferences. The mattresses also offer strong edge support, isolate movement nicely, and create less noise than the normal hybrid. Sleep On Helix Piercing

Construction Sleep On Helix Piercing
All nine of the different iterations of this mattress will differ slightly in construction, but for 6 of the 9 models, the construction should be quite similar. The six core models (listed above) are 10 inches tall, made up of 6 inches of pocketed coils and 4 inches of foam.
Helix mattresses differ in density and firmness based on the foams utilized in order to achieve more/less firmness and more/less support. The four unique foams utilized within Helix mattresses are memory foam, high-grade polyurethane foam, Helix Dynamic Foam, and a DuraDense Foam (aka support foam). Not all the mattresses have all of the foams – some just have three of the four – but it really won’t matter much for the purchaser. The foams are merely levers that Helix Sleep can pull to be able to offer 9 different models (and supposedly have a model for everybody). Sleep On Helix Piercing
Below, I concisely discuss the construction (materials and quality) of the typical Helix mattress, the Helix Midnight.
Cover – Originally, all Helix mattresses have the same cover, made of 100 percent polyester. I found it to be stretchy and thin, allowing for some great breathability. However, if you would like something more luxurious, you can elect to swap out the standard cover for the UltraCool one, which is made up of a phase change fabric for heat regulation.
Comfort Layer – On top, you’ll find a heavy layer of memory foam. This material has a slow reaction to pressure, which means you are likely to experience some satisfying body shaping. Even though it may seem strange for a supposedly medium firmness mattress to incorporate a memory foam comfort layer, it is important to remember that the presence of deep sinkage does not necessarily translate to softness; in fact, most of the time it produces quite a firm feel.
Transition Layer – After sinking through the memory foam comfort layer, you’ll find a transition layer of poly foam. This layer of foam works to suppress the sinkage of the comfort layer and create a supportive, medium firm feel as you hit the pocketed coils below.
Support Layer – The majority of the mattress consists of this section of individually wrapped coils. This system gives a supportive lift to the structure, working to position the sleeper “on top” of the bed, instead of “in it”. Because these coils are wrapped individually, they’re also going to allow extra breathability as air flows in between the spaces in the coils.
Base Layer – Last but not least, you will uncover a thin segment of high-density poly foam. This layer doesn’t affect the feel of the bed too much, functioning mostly to provide the individually wrapped coils something off of which to respond.
Firmness and Support
After taking a peek at the construction of the Helix mattresses, let’s talk about their different feels and firmness levels.
The firmness level of the Helix will vary widely depending on the variant you select. The Helix Dusk and Midnight, have moderate firmness levels, which will be quite versatile and therefore best-selling. If you have more specific requirements, however, Helix Sleep is happy to provide you with more choices.
Laying down on the Helix Midnight, the memory foam layer is soft and generates some quality body contouring, while the other materials within the mattress work to counteract this and make an overall firmer composition. The pocketed coils and the firmer support foams also help with re-positioning.
For back sleepers, there’s just enough good comfort material here to conform to your lumbar while supporting your whole upper spine in a neutral position. For larger buyers or people who prefer a firmer bed, there are two more choices for you in the Helix Dawn and Helix Twilight models.
Most side sleepers will feel totally comfy on the Midnight, however, if you’re wanting a bit less pressure while still going with a flexible medium firmness, you may decide to check out the Helix Dusk, which uses a body-conforming latex-alternative foam that’s breathable and gives the surface a small bit of bounce.
Side sleepers typically have to be mindful of pressure since they sleep with most their weight on a tinier region. People who are smaller than average or those in the market for lots of pressure relief may want to stick to the plusher variants.
Those who sleep on their stomach will feel comfortable in the Midnight, particularly if this is not their main position or they have a tendency to change things up a lot. Firmer mattresses may be preferable for exclusive tummy sleepers so they can make sure their hips do not dip and over-arch their spine.
Finally, Helix Sleep suggests Helix for sleepers up to 350 pounds or partners that weigh a maximum of 250 pounds each. In the event you or your spouse are substantially bigger than average, Helix has also produced a bed called the Nightfall that’s made to accommodate a total weight of 1000 lbs.
Couples with differing types of bodies or preferences can also select a dual comfort model that pairs Firm with Plush.
Bear in mind that if none of those models seem quite right, you could always have a look at the four other beds in the new collection: the Sunset (plush, softer compared to the Moonlight), Dusk (medium feel, slightly firmer than the Midnight), Twilight (firm, made for side sleepers), or Dawn (the firmest mattress of the bunch).
Now, let us talk about motion transfer, or the amount of disturbance that’s noticeable from one side of the mattress to the other. While this is going to be important for many people, those who sleep with a spouse may find it especially interesting as it will illuminate just how bothered you’ll be by your partner’s nighttime movements. Sleep On Helix Piercing
According to my research, Helix Sleep surpasses expectations for hybrids in this space due to the amount and quality of foam it incorporates, as well as the pocketed coils which help keep motion at its source. If you’re a light sleeper concerned that movement from the other side of the mattress will bother you, then you should not have much concern with this mattress. I would say that any of the Helix mattresses are a good choice for couples.
While getting a new mattress, most people want to know whether they’ll feel as though they’re sinking “into” the mattress or lying “on top” of it.
Even though you may experience a little immediate sinkage in the soft foam on top, by the time you sink through those layers, you’ll hit the individually-wrapped coils and find amazing support. This combination will interest a wide assortment of individuals, but will suit stomach and back sleepers in particular.
While I do feel the foam compress as I sit close to the edge of the mattress, the pocketed coils stop the mattress from collapsing a lot beyond that. I feel quite secured sitting on the bed.
In my view, Helix mattresses are well above average for edge support compared to other bed-in-a-box brands, which is due to their newly updated edges containing reinforcement in the coil unit. There can be some compression in the comfort foams when you sit with your entire weight on the side, but lying on the side will feel comfortable and safe. Partners who need more space to stretch out normally love strong edges.
Laying down, I also feel like I could get close to the edge of the mattress without feeling like I will fall off or be pushed off the mattress. Overall, I think the Helix has great edge support.
100 Night Sleep Trial
Among the best features of buying a mattress-in-a-box online is the sleep trials they usually include. Helix Mattress is not any different. You create the mattress that is intended for you, place your order, and in two weeks, it’s sent to your door. From the minute you click to purchase the mattress, you have 100 nights to test it out (minus the time for delivery, so it is more like 90 nights). If it is not ideal, you can return it free, and receive a full refund.
If you do return the mattress, it isn’t restocked or resold. Actually, Helix finds a local place to donate it. If there’s no way Helix can find a way to donate your refunded mattress, they have it recycled instead. Sleep On Helix Piercing
The Helix Mattress includes a generous 10-year warranty that covers flaws, but it comes with some limitations, exceptions, plus the burden of proof is on the customer (like most warranties). Needless to say, you should be the original owner of the Helix to use the warranty, and you need to be sure you keep your receipt as proof of purchase.
As long as you follow all the manufacturer’s expectations for use, your warranty is valid. That means you will need to use a suitable foundation (no adjustable bed frames or slats over 4″ apart) and you don’t use the Helix improperly – no jumping on it!
If your Helix starts to show an indentation of 1 inch or more, something that typically happens when low-density foams break down, then you could qualify for a repair or replacement of your mattress.

What’s The Best Way To Care For Your Helix?
Helix mattresses need no flipping, but it’s recommended that you rotate the mattress perhaps once or twice a year to prevent it from wearing down from excessive sagging.
For regular cleaning, it’s advised to use cold water along gentle dish soap to clean any stains or dirt. Be sure that you wash using gentle circular movements, rather than rubbing.
