Helix Sleep markets hybrid mattresses manufactured using polyfoam comfort systems, dual-layer covers, and pocketed coil support cores fortified with polyfoam base layers. Sleep With Helix Piercing
Helix Sleep allows full mattress customization. Purchasers are urged to complete a survey that asks for their height, weight, firmness preferences, sleep position, and other factors. Then based on these results, Helix Sleep will suggest one of the following six mattress models; each individual option offers a one-of-a-kind combination of firmness and support:
- Helix Sunset: ‘Soft’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Moonlight: ‘Soft’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
- Helix Midnight: ‘Medium’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dusk: ‘Medium’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
- Helix Twilight: ‘Firm’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dawn: ‘Firm’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
Helix Sleep mattresses with targeted cushioning conform closely, making them optimal for those who sleep on their side. While hybrids with moderate cushioning don’t conform as much and are suitable for pretty much all sleep positions. Lighter people may feel more comfy on variants with balanced support, while people who weigh 130 pounds or more tend to favor the variants with extra support.
Helix Sleep also offers two models with dual-firmness, the Helix Dual Balanced (with targeted cushioning and balanced support) and the Helix Dual Extra (with moderate cushioning and additional support). Both of these models have one ‘Soft’ side and one ‘Firm’ side, making them great for couples with different tastes. Lastly, the Helix Nightfall is a hybrid developed for bigger, heavier individuals. This variant has an additional layer of memory foam for optimum support.
My review of Helix Sleep mattresses found that the customizable selection accommodates sleepers with a large range of firmness preferences and body types. The mattresses also provide strong edge support, isolate motion transfer nicely, and create less noise than the average hybrid. Sleep With Helix Piercing

Construction Sleep With Helix Piercing
All nine of the different iterations of this mattress will differ slightly in construction, but for 6 of the 9 models, the construction should be fairly similar. The six core models (listed above) are 10 inches tall, composed of 6 inches of individually wrapped coils and 4 inches of foam.
Helix mattresses vary in firmness and density based on the foams utilized in order to get more/less firmness and more/less support. The 4 unique foams utilized within Helix mattresses are high-grade polyurethane foam, memory foam, Helix Dynamic Foam, and a DuraDense Foam (aka support foam). Not all the beds have all of the foams – some only have three of the four – but it really shouldn’t matter much for the buyer. The foams are merely levers that Helix Sleep can pull in order to offer 9 unique mattresses (and supposedly have a mattress for everyone). Sleep With Helix Piercing
Below, I briefly talk about the construction (materials and quality) of the typical Helix mattress, the Helix Midnight.
Cover – Originally, all Helix mattresses have exactly the same cover, made of 100% polyester. I found it to be stretchy and thin, allowing for some great breathability. However, if you would like something more lavish, you can opt to swap out the normal cover for the UltraCool one, which is made up of a phase-change fabric to regulate temperature.
Comfort Layer – Up top, you’ll discover a heavy layer of memory foam. This material has a slow reaction to pressure, meaning you are probably going to encounter some satisfying body shaping. Even though it may seem strange for a purportedly medium firm bed to feature a memory foam layer, it’s important to remember that the presence of deep sinkage doesn’t always translate to softness; in actuality, oftentimes it generates quite a firm feeling.
Transition Layer – After getting past the memory foam comfort layer, you’ll uncover a transition layer of poly foam. This layer works to suppress the sinkage of the memory foam and establish a supportive, medium firm feeling as you reach the individually wrapped coils underneath.
Support Layer – Most of the mattress consists of this section of pocketed coils. This system gives a supportive lift into the structure, working to place the sleeper “on top” of the bed, instead of “in it”. Because these coils are individually wrapped, they’re also likely to encourage additional breathability as air flows in between the spaces in the coils.
Base Layer – Lastly, you’ll discover a thin segment of high-density poly foam. This segment doesn’t really affect the feel of the mattress too much, working mostly to give the individually wrapped coils something off of which to respond.
Firmness and Support
After having a look at the construction of the Helix mattresses, let us chat about their different firmness levels and feels.
The firmness of the Helix will differ widely depending on the variant you select. The Helix Midnight and Dusk, have medium firmness levels, which is going to be very versatile and thus very popular. If you are more particular, however, Helix Sleep would be happy to provide you with more choices.
Lying down on the Helix Midnight, the memory foam comfort layer feels soft and produces some top quality body contouring, while the rest of the materials in the Midnight work to control this and create an overall firmer structure. The individually-wrapped coils and the firmer support foams also assist with re-positioning.
For those who sleep on their back, there’s just enough good comfort material in the Helix Midnight to conform to your lower spine while supporting your back in a neutral position. For heavier buyers or people who prefer a firmer bed, there are two more choices for you in the Helix Dawn and Helix Twilight variants.
Many side sleepers should feel totally comfy on the Midnight, but, if you are needing a bit less pressure while still going with a flexible medium firmness, you might want to check out the Helix Dusk, which utilizes a body-conforming latex-alternative foam that’s breathable and provides the surface a small bit of bounce.
Side sleepers typically have to be more mindful of pressure because they sleep with most of their weight on a smaller region. People who are smaller than average or those in the market for plenty of pressure relief may want to stick to the plusher variants.
Stomach sleepers should feel supported in the Midnight, particularly if this is not their main position or they have a tendency to change things up a lot. Firmer mattresses may be preferable for exclusive tummy sleepers so that they can make sure their hips do not dip and over-arch their back.
Finally, the manufacturer recommends Helix for sleepers around 350 lbs or partners that weigh up to 250 pounds each. If you or your spouse are significantly bigger than average, Helix has also produced a mattress called the Nightfall that’s created to accommodate a total weight of 1000 pounds.
Partners with different types of bodies or tastes can also select a dual comfort model that combines Firm with Plush.
Bear in mind that if none of these options seem right, you can always have a look at the 4 other beds in the newest collection: the Sunset (plush, softer than the Moonlight), Dusk (moderate feel, slightly firmer compared to the Midnight), Twilight (firm, made for side sleepers), or Dawn (the firmest mattress of the bunch).
Next up, let’s chat about motion transfer, or the amount of activity that’s detectable from one side of the bed to the other. While this is going to be crucial for many buyers, those who sleep with a partner may find it particularly intriguing as it will illuminate just how bothered you’ll be by your partner’s nighttime movements. Sleep With Helix Piercing
According to my research, Helix exceeds expectations for hybrids in this space because of the amount and quality of foam it contains, in addition to the pocketed coils which help trap motion at its source. If you are a light sleeper worried that movement from the other side of the mattress will bother you, then you shouldn’t have a lot of concern with this mattress. I would say that any of the Helix mattresses are a good option for couples.
When purchasing a brand-new mattress, most men and women wish to know whether they’ll feel like they’re sinking “into” the it or laying “on top” of it.
Even though you may experience a little immediate sinkage from the uppermost foam layers, by the time you sink through those layers, you will find the individually-wrapped coils and experience great support. This combo will appeal to a vast range of individuals, but will satisfy stomach and back sleepers the most.
While I do feel the foam compress as I sit near the edge of the mattress, the individually-wrapped coils prevent the mattress from collapsing a lot beyond that. I feel quite secured seated on the mattress.
In my opinion, Helix mattresses are well above average when it comes to edge support compared to other bed-in-a-box brands, and this is due to their newly updated edges that contain reinforcement in the coil system. There can be a little compression in the comfort foams when you sit with your entire weight on the side, but laying on the side should feel comfortable and secure. Partners who want more space to stretch out typically appreciate strong edges.
Lying down, I feel like I can get close to the edge of the bed without feeling like I will fall off or be pushed off the bed. Overall, I think the Helix mattress has nice edge support.
100 Night Sleep Trial
One of the best features of purchasing a bed-in-a-box online is the sleep trials that they typically include. Helix Mattress is no different. You create the mattress that’s meant for you, place your order, and in 2 weeks, it’s delivered to your door. From the moment you click to purchase the mattress, you’ve got 100 nights to try it out (minus the time for delivery, so it’s more like 90 nights). If it is not perfect, you can return it for free, and get a full refund.
If you do return the mattress, it isn’t resold or restocked. In fact, Helix finds a local place to donate it. When there’s no way Helix can find a way to donate your returned mattress, it is recycled instead. Sleep With Helix Piercing
The Helix Mattress includes an awesome 10-year guarantee that covers flaws, but it comes with some limitations, exceptions, plus the burden of proof is on the consumer (like most guarantees ). Of course, you should be the original owner of the mattress to make use of the warranty, and you will need to be sure you keep your receipt as proof of purchase.
Provided that you follow all the manufacturer’s expectations for use, your warranty should be valid. That means you will need to have a proper base (no adjustable bed frames or slats more than 4 inches apart) and that you don’t use the mattress improperly – no jumping on the bed!
If your Helix begins to have an indentation of 1″ or longer, which is what usually happens when low-density foams break down, then you could qualify for a repair or replacement of your mattress.

What’s The Best Way To Care For Your Helix?
Helix mattresses require no flipping, but it is suggested that you rotate the mattress possibly a couple of times a year to keep it from wearing down from excessive sagging.
For routine cleaning, it’s advised to use cool water with gentle dish detergent to clean any dirt or stains. Make certain to clean using gentle circular motions, rather than rubbing.
